Dr. Montague is board certified in Phlebology and specializes in the evaluation and treatment of venous disorders. He obtained his medical degree from Creighton University in 1973 where he was senior class president and voted into Who’s Who Among College and University Students. He received his AA degree from the College of Sequoias in 1966, a BA degree summa cum laude from Fresno State College in 1968 and his masters degree from the University of California at Davis 19 1969. Following his three year residency at Valley Medical Center, Fresno, where he was chief resident and president of the Resident’s Association, he established his private practice in Fresno in 1976 with a special interest in venous disorders. Dr. Montague has had a full time vein practice since 1997 and was nominated by his peers as a “BEST DOCTOR in AMERICA” in 1998.
He is a member of the California Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Fresno-Madera chapter of the California Association of Family Practice, of which he was a past president, and the American College of Phlebology.
Dr. Montague has been married for 43 years to his wife Joan, and they have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. He enjoys his family, golfing, fishing, lap swimming, and antique hunting. He generously supports his community, church, and local high schools and Fresno State athletics.
